Most of the peninsular rivers flow in the east direction because the Peninsula of India is slopped towards the East region. the reason behind this is the height of eastern ghats and western ghats. The height of eastern ghat is lesser then the western ghat that creates the slopy area in the peninsular part of India. Hence, as the river flow direction generally depends on the land’s slope ,most of them are east flowing.
